JENIN, northern West Bank, 21st May, 2016 (WAM) -- The UAE's Human Appeal International, HAI, has provided diversified assistance to the people with special needs in the Palestinian territories through the establishment of a number of houses, provision of medical treatment for plenty of medical cases and other services.
Ibrahim Rashid, Commissioner of the HAI in the West Bank, said that people with special needs get the aid on priority, adding, "the foundation communicates with the underprivileged and low-income segments, particularly people with special needs and provides AED 5000 for each case."
He also indicated that the foundation has provided an elevator for the local hospital in Hebron for the handicapped to facilitate their movement in the hospital.
Rashid said that the humanitarian and charitable issues are given much attention by the foundation, which was represented in the implementation of health, development and relief projects. He also noted that this reaffirms the UAE's continuous commitment to provide assistance to the Palestinian people.
